Treatment guide
Understand the language used in IV menus
This glossary explains common categories in plain language. It is educational, not a recommendation for any individual treatment.
Fluids
Sterile solutions used to provide water and dissolved electrolytes. The type and amount depend on clinical factors.
Electrolytes
Minerals involved in fluid balance and normal body functions. More is not automatically better.
Vitamins
Nutrients that may be included in selected protocols. Suitability and dosing require clinical review.
Medications
Some protocols may include prescription medications when clinically appropriate and permitted. Risks and contraindications vary.
Ask before you receive
Your clinician can explain the proposed ingredients, intended role, material risks, and alternatives before you consent. Tell the clinician about all medications, supplements, allergies, pregnancy, and relevant medical conditions.
